Hello... is there anybody out there??

So, to quote a certain Mr. Satchwell, DOES ANYBODY READ THIS THING!? Doesn't seem so anymore... I think I lost my readers to some other trendy blog--bastards. Anyway, I'll make this post (taken directly from an email I send a dear friend of mine) and see how it goes from there.

the rock pubs/clubs are great. the other day we went to Trillians (the rock pub) and this band was playing... it turns out they were quite good (and by "quite" I mean "very"). It was like Zeppelin meets Hendrix... no kidding. And I'm not saying that just because they had some perfect covers of those two, but the overall feel of the drummer was like that of Bonzo's and the feel of the guitarist was that of Hendrix... and the vocalist/bassist was just his own person, I guess. But yeah... guitarist was 17 and drummer was 18 and they were more skilly than fuck :P. Great stuff. They're called "The Brew". If they're playing in a show close to you go see them ;). Well, Ryan ended up buying their CD, so once I get it I'll send you a couple of tracks so you can listen to a bit.

We also went to see another band a few days ago. Well, we never intentionally go see a band, we just go there to hang out before going to Trillians (rock club) and they just happen to be playing (talking of which, got tickets for Motorhead and Exodus!). Well, I've got to admit they were very good. They were bordering hard rock and metal, but also had some tracks with a bluesy feel. It was great. Then afterwards we headed to Trillians and it turns out that they went there as well... and at this point the rhythm guitarist (completely drunk) comes up to me and just starts talking to me about random stuff. That was awesome! I got to speak with a semi-famous person (they have their album coming out next monday on amazon/hmv et al...).

Oh, yeah, and we also happened to see this covers band... music wasnt that good (although you've gotta give the guitarist credit... only one of him and most of the songs they played required two guitars) but the entertainment value was great (and not only because the drummer looked like Ron Jeremy). The singer did a very good impression of Axl (for the GnR songs)... a very very accurate one :P and he could also do a good one of Bon Scott/Johnson.

Yeah, so that was my email (copied and pasted... don't you just love that function?) so I apologise for spelling/grammar mistakes.

I'd love to post some other stuff, but I'd really have to think about what's happened (I've been lazy and haven't written it down) and I can't be bothered to do so if only one person is going to read it. So like I said, I'll see where I go from here. Maybe I'll just remove the auto-feed thing from Facebook and that way once again I can diss people in Newcastle and they won't know about it :)

Meh. Time will tell.
