There's a Time For Everyone

So I saw this preaching bloke on the street. Not that I knew what he was saying because I had my super-trendy headphones on (note the sarcasm) but every so often a word would slip into my ears and those words would be "love" "understand" "believe" "Jesus Christ" so yeah, I'm pretty sure he was preaching. There were quite a few people around him, which surprised me, but most kept their distances such as myself. Then the song I was listening to finished and I got to hear a sentence: "Ask me any question and I'll answer it. Any question relating to..." and then the next song kicked in. What I wanted to do at that moment was go up to him (or close) and yell: "There is no god!!" and see what he did. Yes, I know, one of the worst things to do... just like yelling "bomb!" or "terrorists!" at an American airport (which I do want to do someday). Oh well, I guess it's because I don't like people who are all in your face preachy. Believe what you want to believe--just don't make everyone else believe what you believe. So yes, boys and girls, there is a God and he doesn't completely hate you!

Changing the subject for everyone's sake now. I was at the Music Society's Open Mic Night (great job, btw, guys!) and let's just say that there was someone picking my mind. When we first arrived, there was this girl (with an amazing voice!) singing to Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter. I've had that song stuck in my head for at least two months (from way back when I was still in Venezuela). That was awesome! Then I later told Jimmy that someone should play Under the Sea (Little Mermaid) just because it's also been in my head a lot (yes, I know, a very odd combination). As it turns out, some people performed a Disney medley and sure enough they played Under the Sea! The only downside is that I don't know the words in English--so all I could say was "under the sea!" over and over again.

Just to round off that night, this girl climbed onto the bar and knocked over some stuff. One of the bar staff barked at her "are you drunk!?" and all she could manage to say was "I just wanted to say hi." Great stuff. Oh, and the Open Mic Night was crashed by some random guys who chanted their way to expulsion.

Anyway, yeah, I decided to keep the blog for a bit more due to the high demand (a whole comment just for me!). I think I'll take it up to 200 posts (187 currently) and then review the situation.
