Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

So today I woke up early in the morning, and the first thing that I did was open the curtain things to check if it was snowing. To no-one's surprise it wasn't. The second thing I did was turn the computer on to check the forecast (yes, I'm obsessed and yes, I still check it even if I know it's gonna be wrong). A semi-sunny day. Great. I go make my breakfast and then come back into my room to get my stuff to take a shower. Then I hear one of my flatmates: "Ah, it's snowing!". I immediately open the shields and see snow falling from the sky! My first reaction is to go outside and try to grab some. But the snow wasn't thick enough, it was melting once it hit the ground... oh, and I was in my pijays, so I would've frozen. What I did instead was open the common room's window (mine only open about two inches) and put my arm out. Yes, I did do that. Snow fell on my hand, and that was the first ever time I touched snow. So cool! And meanwhile my flatmates were looking at me as if I was out of my mind (which I am, but it came as a surprise to them).

So I take a quick shower, get dressed, and go outside (I was also a bit behind in time to get to my lecture, so I had to run). It was awesome to feel the snow falling around you. The coolest thing ever. It only lasted until I got the the lecture theatre, though. When I was arriving it was also heating up, so the falling snow turned into falling rain. That wasn't as cool... actually, it wasn't cool at all.

And there you go, now it's official. Whenever the forecast says it's going to snow, there'll be sun. When they say there's gonna be sun it'll snow. At least now I know how to read it.

Also, I got my DVDs today. I haven't taken a look at them, but I will this evening. I'm gonna experience the power of AC/DC live. I'll leave Zeppelin for a more intimate occasion, as that'll be almost like a religious experience. Can't just watch it with anyone.

So to conclude, very good day so far. Got to see/touch snow for the first time and I got my DVDs. Now I hope nothing ruins it later on.

All day footy

So today was a footy day. It's been a long time since I've watched two football matches back to back. I woke up at 12, which gave me an hour and a half to shower and grab something to eat before I headed down to the pub for the Everton vs. Newcastle match. I made it in time; in fact, ten minutes early. The match was alright, but Newcastle lost... even if they should've won, but oh, well, that's the way the game works. Blatant penalty for Newcastle not given, though.

I then watched West Ham play Man Utd. West Ham scored inside the first minute, and having done that I was convinced it was going to be another 1-0 game against Man Utd. But The Genius (of course Rooney) turned things around in ten minutes in the second half. Now Man Utd are somehow second in the Prem. Of course, that's 10 points behind the Russian Oil Bastards (of course Chelski), but with a game in hand. Still, that would make it 7 points behind if Man Utd did manage to win that game. Ah, how it blows. Eh, at least we'll be in the Champions League next year... even if we're kicked out in the Group Stage this year.

There's not much more to say, really. The Irish will leave tomorrow morning, so today is the last day of the coup. Yay! The flat will be back to being ours! Well, that's it. Oh, one more thing. ROONEY'S A GENIUS!
