The week after the pub crawl

So I've just been working for this past week. Yes, believe it. No, seriously... fuck you!

I stare failure in the face and laugh!

I just finished my last project today, about an hour ago (it's almost 7). I was having terrible difficulties with my XHTML/PHP/MYSQL (shut up!) because everything was running smoothly, but the two tables wouldn't join at the end! It was my curse of "everything runs find except one thing that screws everything else that is running fine." Anyway, after two days of rewriting (I pretty much rewrote my code about three times... that's excessive!) it finally came to work today. Special thanks to Craig for spotting the mistake. If you want to check out my work (maybe even read it and maybe even comment!) then go to http://www.students.ncl.ac.uk/james.nicholson/databases/opinion.php

Well, that's about it, really. I also finished a presentation, but that wasn't that bad. So yeah, I'm free now, no more lectures! I have my final exams coming up though... but I'm taking today off to relax before revising. I'm mentally exhausted. Should go on a pub crawl lol. Nah, can't be bothered.

Anyway, thanks for reading. If anything cool happens then I'll post. Else... until next time!

The 9 hour pub crawl (cut short)

Right, the pub crawl...

well, it's been a week since the pub crawl, so I've sort of forgotten some details. What I do know, though is that we drank from 2 in the afternoon up until 1 in the morning. The pub crawl was cut short because Dave, one of the guys we were with, was too drunk to get into the club. We were exhausted at that point and couldn't be arsed going anywhere else, so we decided to call it quits then. To be honest, I wasn't bad at all--which worries me. I believe I had 7 pints and 6 tequila shots over the 11 hours... that's not too bad, really, but still... I would've expected to feel sick towards the end. Oh well.

We did loads of messed up stuff while out. You know, the kind of things you do when you're under the effects and everyone around you is as well. No details available, though. Oh, maybe one. I stole a pebble from a pub because... erm.. I guess I thought it was cool? The pebble sucks. Oh, also, I walked around with a Metallica logo (torn from a Download Festival poster) on my head for quite some time (was going to get the GnR one, but you know, "No Slash, No Guns")... I can't believe they didn't let Dave in and they let me in... for once I wasn't descriminated against!

Anyway, I was hit on by two girls. Yep, two in the same night. Must've been the hair... can't think of anything else. I usually can spend a quiet night by just sitting and drinking with my mates, but this time I was just sitting and drinking with my mates and they approached me.

First: well, what can I say. Not exactly the fittest of them all, but quite attractive. She was from Yorkshire (ha) and well... I stuck with her for about half the trip. She left about halfway through because she was too drunk (or was gonna get too drunk to finish her essay tomorrow), so that technically means I out-drank her! Yeah! That's my first! Anyway, she was alright, but definitely not my type. She seemed to have little personality. What I mean with that is that for the whole year she kept on going out to places she disliked because her friends went there, hadn't gone to the places she wanted to go, and was moving in with girls she didn't exactly like next year. What kind of person does that!? Bloody hell...

Second: this one was quite fit, I have to admit. She had this tattoo on her lower back which was just HOT (hotter than hell, man!). It was quite short-lived, though. The rest of the group moved onto the next pub while we waited for some of the guys to finish their pints up. Then they decided on doing another route to avoid a crap pub and I thought it'd be okay as we'd meet up at the club. As previously said, we didn't make it to the club. But well, I'll definitely see her next year as she'll be the president for the RockSoc, so it's all good. But hey, I do sound like that first girl now, eh? Should've just gone with her lol.
